Hi everyone, It's great to try and do a little bit of reading each day. Here's a list of 7 websites where you can find free books to read online. You might find a new favourite!
This year we have tried to make the Christmas celebrations bigger and better than ever! In class we have made calendars, cards and Christmas tree decorations for our families - we are so proud of them. We have also been very lucky and had lots of surprises in the last week on school. We had a Christmas party, two visits from Santa (one Zoom call!) and a Nerf gun war as our green trip on Friday! We hope you enjoy looking through some of the photos from this week.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from 5/6M!
This half term we have been looking at persuasive adverts. We have analysed the linguistic features in different adverts and begun to plan our own. We decided to base them on our class novel - Harry Potter. Here are some pictures of the broomsticks we have designed ready to market. Keep your eyes peeled for our adverts!
This week in RE we made Diya lamps out of salt dough to celebrate Diwali.
Earlier this term went on a trip to the Clarty Commandos forest school. We had so much fun! We completed the assault course as individuals and then as a team, lit fires, played in the mud kitchen, battled it out on the balance beams and so much more - it was the best day!
We are learning about celebrating differences this half term. We are focusing on the message ‘Nobody is normal!’
After learning about the story of Roberta Cowell the first transgender woman, we have created our own poster to celebrate differences.
