Online Safety

What is Online Safety?

Online Safety is a term which means not only the internet but other ways in which young people communicate using electronic media, e.g. mobile phones, computers, smart t.v's.  It means ensuring that children and young people are protected from harm and supported to achieve the maximum benefit from new and developing technologies without risk to themselves or others. At Cambois Primary School we have extensive security measures in place, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any Online Safety incidents are recorded and managed in accordance with our Online Safety Policy. Online Safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online. We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we can work with parents to ensure the Online Safety message is consistent.  Below are some websites and videos that we use in school. You can help us by looking at them and then discussing with your children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.

Below are links to very useful information about keeping your child safe online.
